Johannesburg, South Africa:<\/strong> SABC Education<\/a>, The Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources Policy Analysis Network (FANRPAN<\/a>), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO<\/a>), and vikela e<\/a>arth<\/a> are jointly organising the virtual World Food Day Conference 2022. The Conference aims to support the credo of  “Absorbing the Shocks on Climate Change and Food Security”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Conference will be looking at how to transform into a world free of hunger, through a critical review of investments in research and development for innovation, the governance of resources, healthier diets and more sustainable production, stronger value chains, inclusion and social protection, and climate-smart finance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the face of the current global crises, global solutions are more important than ever. By aiming for better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life, we can transform agrifood systems and implement sustainable and holistic solutions that allow for development in the long term, inclusive economic growth, and greater resilience. A sustainable world is one where everyone counts.  Food security is imperative for human survival with dignity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Virtual Conference will be held on Tuesday, 25th October 2022 from 15:00 – 17:00 CAT and is free and open to anyone wishing to attend. The registration link can be found here: \u200b\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources Policy Analysis Network (FANRPAN) is an all-inclusive multi-stakeholder pan-African network that provides independent evidence to inform and influence policy processes at national and regional levels.
