Episode summaries
Episode 1

The Zwane family has a lot of love… and a few problems. Duma is on the verge of being kicked out of college, while his teenage brother struggles to be taken seriously. Their sister, Adele, is pregnant and milking it for all it's worth. A terrible crime will set changes in motion that will challenge them all.
Episode 2

While Dennis and Camilla reel from the shock of her attack, Duma is forced to make a decision: start getting involved at college, or leave it. Sipho notices a growing and very troubling change in Dennis, but is not prepared for the radical decision Dennis makes, which will have serious implications for the Zwanes.
Episode 3

Sipho is forced to tell Rosa about being made redundant. Meanwhile, Vince is growing tired of having no alone time with Adele and Tsietsi’s teacher tells him about the “Rap for Rights” rap contest. Rosa’s boss, Randy, gets involved in a shady deal.
Episode 4

Sipho and Rosa are struggling to pay Duma’s school fees. Rosa urges him to tell the family about what has happened. Thembi is again bullied by Vuyelwa to do her homework, even when Thembi tries to say no. Duma asks Camilla if she would talk about her hijacking on camera for his project. Rosa grows suspicious about Randy’s dealings.
Episode 5

Sipho goes looking for a job, but finds none. Rosa confronts her boss, and it blows up in her face. Still angry, Adéle rejects Sipho’s thoughtful gift and hurts him deeply. Duma is stuck; he wants nothing more to do with Camilla, but he has to work with her. Tsietsi is so jealous of Pepe that he pays no attention to Thembi; something awful happens to her.
Episode 6

The Zwane family is in crisis. Adéle’s revenge plan backfires horribly. Sipho, humiliated, blows up at his family and isolates himself. Thembi calls Tsietsi on his hypocrisy. Tsietsi does not know what to do, and finds it hard to discuss this dilemma with his family. Also, the pressure on Somizi is mounting as his brother the thief visits him on campus.
Episode 7

Rosa makes some shocking new discoveries about her boss, and her stress isn't helped by the fact that Sipho turns down a temporary job. Thembi inspires Tsietsi to create a new forum for the students, while Duma's crusade at college begins to gain momentum.
Episode 8

Sipho starts his first day at Jean-Michel’s shoe factory, but soon runs into difficulty. Tsietsi gets a surprise when the school finalists for the rap competition are announced, and Duma and Zama’s campaign to declare a vote of no confidence in the student council picks up steam. Meanwhile, Rosa does some investigating into Randy’s dealings.
Episode 9

Randy suspects Rosa of spying. Duma and Zama are disappointed with the results of the student election. Duma demands a recount. Jean-Michel tries to help out the family, but Sipho grows angry. Tsietsi and Pepe’s rivalry increases, and Duma discovers some incriminating evidence.
Episode 10

Adéle suspects that Vince is cheating on her, and her plan to catch him comes crashing down on her. Jean-Michel and Sipho have been called into the school because of Pepe and Tsietsi’s fight. Tsietsi’s xenophobic tendencies grow, and xenophobic violence takes on a life of its own. This results in a violent act being committed against the Bashabas.
Episode 11

Tsietsi finds out that Pepe’s house was vandalised. He realises the error of his ways and tries to make amends.
Duma and Zama are disappointed to hear that Somizi intends to run in the student elections again. Sipho finally corners Adéle and has a heart to heart with her. Rosa finally finds the courage to blow the whistle on her employer.
Episode 12

The SRC election gets underway at Duma's college. Rosa is in for a surprise when she visits her old company. Sipho's change of heart becomes more evident, especially when Adele has a big scare in her pregnancy.
Episode 13

Duma's film project is finally screened at the college, but will he make peace with Camilla before she leaves? In the run-up to Election Day – Adele's due date – Adele begins to question whether she is ready for motherhood.
