Skeem Saam: Tbose passionate about youth development

#SkeemSaam airs every weeknight on SABC 1 at 18.30.

Cornet Thabiso Mamabolo was born in Limpopo and raised in Johannesburg. He attended Eqinisweni Secondary School in Midrand where he was consistently involved in school activities.

He began performing arts in 2005 during high school, starting with community theatre in Ivory Park, Tembisa and then moved onto mainstream theatre two years later. He studied for a Bachelor of Arts, Dramatic Arts at the University of Witwatersrand.

Mambolo is extremely passionate about giving back and youth development. He enjoys visiting schools, prisons and communities to engage with the youth on their pressing needs.

"We found that there’s a big gap between learners in rural schools and the learners in township schools and city schools. There’s a lack of resources in rural schools such as technical resources and human resources. You’ll find that the schools don’t have libraries and science labs." By 2006 Cornet Mamabolo Foundation was formed and 2 years later his dream came true when he officially opened a library in Boshega Primary School in Maripathekong, Limpopo.

Wit, intelligence and a charming personality are 2 things that Cornet and TBose have in common. But other than that, their lives are as separate as can be. Tbose, spends his time making sure he excels at his new internship, but at the same time also making sure that he is a good father to his son Pitsi.

Love is also in the air for him this year and she goes by the name of Sihle, which he has already introduced to his family. So life seems to be going good right now apart from his nephew Noah who seems to causing quite a stir in the Maputla household and keeping him on edge.
