The National Assembly has approved the 12 recommended names of persons to serve on the SABC Board.
There were objections from the DA, EFF and ACDP, who criticised Febe Potgieter-Gqubule and Krish Naidoo as ANC deployees.
They are among the five members of the outgoing interim board who have made it to the permanent board, which starts work next month.
The names will be sent to President Jacob Zuma for appointment.
National Assembly House Chairperson Mmatlala Boroto read out the results as follows: Miss Febe Potgieter-Gqubule, Mr Krish Naidoo, Miss Khanyisile Kweyama, Mr John Mattison, Mr Mathata Tsedu, Ms Nomvuyiso Batjie, Miss Rachel Kalidass, Mr Michael Markovitz, Bongumusa Makhathini, Mr Victor Rambau, Dinkanyane Mohuba and Mr Jack Phalane.
Meanwhile the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa) has meanwhile welcomed the beginning of the an investigation by the SIU into allegations of dodgy procurement deals at the SABC.
Scopa also says it hopes all the officials of the SABC will cooperate fully with the investigation so that it can get to the bottom of the root causes of maladministration at the public broadcaster.
Scopa Chairperson Themba Godi has thanked the interim board for stabilising the corporation from the dire situation it was in.
