Kulcha Kwest is a South African docu-reality youth series created by Mpho Moagi-Vilana and produced by Aviwe Media in which young South Africans go on a personal journey to experience and understand their culture with the aim of highlighting different cultures, traditions and practices, as well as the significance of preserving our cultures as South Africans.
The KwaZulu-Natal Education Department says the 2012 matric results have improved from 73% to 75% after the supplementary examinations were written.

The SABC and Eskom have signed an agreement to communicate more with South African on power usage. This new initiative called Power Bulletin will serve to mobilise South Africans to be more aware of how they view and use electricity. Rights group Section 27 says there is still some schools without textbooks in Limpopo. This as the trial against a Limpopo Education Department official, Tsakani Kubayi, is expected to resume in the Giyani Regional Court. Kubayi was arrested last year following the discovery of about 700 textbooks dumped on the banks of Nsami Dam in Giyani.
The battle for the soul of the black television viewer has regained the sort of momentum it had before the recession about five years ago. This year has seen many new productions with SABC1 taking the lead with new shows such as Tempy Pushas and second seasons of Intersexions and Skeem Saam.
